Where to Ride Your Class 1 eMTB in Massachusetts
Finding eMTB-friendly trails can feel like a scavenger hunt, but don’t worry—we’ve done the homework for you. Here are the top spots where you can rip through the woods, soak in some epic views, and keep that pedal-assist working overtime.
1. Vietnam Trails – Holliston/Milford
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
One of the most well-known MTB zones in the state, Vietnam has it all—rock gardens, flowy sections, and techy singletrack that’ll keep you engaged. Bonus: Karbon Bikes is headquartered right nearby, and a lot of our product testing happens here!

2. Wompatuck State Park – Hingham
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
This spot is great for everyone! Smooth, flowy trails make it beginner-friendly, but there are enough twists and turns to keep experienced riders entertained. Plus, the scenic backdrop is top-tier.

3. Callahan State Park – Marlborough/Framingham
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Rolling hills, gentle climbs, and some fun sections make Callahan a solid choice for a chill but satisfying ride.

4. Nickerson State Park – Brewster
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Nickerson State Park is a Cape Cod favorite, offering smooth, flowy trails with beautiful forest scenery. Perfect for a relaxed ride or an extended adventure, this park features well-maintained paths that are great for all skill levels. Expect rolling terrain, fun turns, and some of the best coastal riding in the state.

5. Pittsfield State Forest – Pittsfield
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Rolling singletrack, scenic climbs, and fast descents make this one a must-ride if you’re out in Western Mass.

6. Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park – Uxbridge
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
A hidden gem for eMTB riders, this park features scenic riverside trails, historic canal paths, and rolling singletrack. Perfect for a relaxing yet engaging ride with a mix of smooth paths and wooded sections.

7. West Hill Dam – Uxbridge
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Gentle rolling terrain, river views, and miles of fun make West Hill Dam a go-to for a relaxed but enjoyable ride.

8. Riverlands – Sturbridge

9. F. Gilbert Hills State Forest – Foxborough

10. Wrentham State Forest – Wrentham

Flowy singletrack, twisty routes, and plenty of space to push your limits—Wrentham is a hidden gem!

11. Hodges Village Dam – Oxford
Skill Level: Intermediate
This place has everything—tech, flow, and wide-open sections where you can really let it rip.

12. Chicopee Memorial State Park – Chicopee
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Chicopee Memorial State Park offers a mix of wooded trails and scenic paths around a large reservoir. The smooth and rolling terrain makes it an excellent choice for riders looking for a relaxed but engaging eMTB ride.
